Winching off a tree is often the only option, but a cable or rope around the trunk strips bark and can ringbark and kill it. A tree trunk protector goes around the tree first and the winch hooks to its loops. Its 90mm width spreads the load across the bark, protecting the tree and the track for the next people through.

Features

• 10,000kg breaking strain, 5m long.
• Full-length protective sheath. Most tree protectors only sleeve the loops. This one is sheathed from end to end, so the whole strap is protected from bark, grit, abrasion and UV, and lasts longer.
• Non-stretch, for controlled winching without stored energy.
• Reinforced, double-stitched loops, fully sheathed, for shackles or a winch hook.
• Works with most 4WD winches and recovery dampers.

Like all Bush Company recovery gear, it's certified and tested in South Africa.

If the tree is further away than your winch line reaches, add a Pull-Extension Strap 10t 5m or Heavy Duty Pull-Extension Strap 10m 14t.

Use rated recovery points and rated shackles only, keep bystanders well clear, and follow safe recovery practice.
